Toan Who?
Say it with us: Toan -- Pronounced Twon, rhymes with
John, but with a "T".
Toan was born in Vietnam but is ethnic Chinese and
French. Just over 30 years ago, his family immigrated
to America when he was a baby.
He remembers feeling alone and powerless living in
hoods filled with violence, hookers, liquor stores,
drive by's and the infamous "barber shop" where you
can get a "fade" (haircut) by day, drugs at night and attend
church in the parking lot on Sunday.
Given his humble beginnings, he's grateful to create his own dream job title:
*Inspirator.* Toan loves inspiring people to use their power or talents and gifts
to help others.
Books were his passport out of the ghetto, but he hid his love for reading and writing
because of neighborhood bullies. Funny how life works, Toan grew up without a
voice, but is now a determined voice for the voiceless- through a career as a
TV Reporter, College Professor and his passionwork: www.GoInspireGo.com (GIG)
Toan believes everyone is inspired by someone or something. In his case, books
and Oprah.
It's Toan's mission to meet Lady "O"and collaborate on an inspirational project
to help people discover and use their power to help others.

Our "GIG-ster" team creates & highlights character driven
stories- many about unsung heroes contributing to the
greater good and featuring a 'call to action' at the video end.
The Goal: Viewers are inspired to use their talents and
resources to help others and give back to the community.
We've created a movement. Our message is spreading
quickly through social networking to create social change.
Where will we end up next? Oprah or OWN!
